I agree with the other reviewer- pricey for an extension cord- but it works well. My only 2 cents to add is that it can be tough to get the plugs lined up just right with the camera and remote shutter- especially in the dark.

Pricey but good quality.
Seems a little much to pay for an "extension cord" but upon receipt I see it is of very high quality and nice build on the connectors. Plus its a brand item from Canon so what can you do?

Good for nothing
This product is absolutely useless. I dont who can use this thing. Its either me being stupid ether this product impossible to use. I use them with Canon XSI Canon 18-55mm IS/Canon 55-250mm IS. I can not focus with at any distance with any of the macro concepts... Totally useless.. Im sorry I left US and I can not return this product would siply cost me more than the product itself

this close-up lens set marketed by sakar under the name digital concepts is all a product shouldnt be. the pouch in which the lenses are kept is designed so that each one is on the same plane rather than having them in a keeper which places each behind the other. this means you have a rather bulky container instead of something compact. i myself prefer camera accessories to take up as little space as possible since i tote a goodly amount of them. the rim on one of the macros looked as if it had been struck by hammer and awl: a healthy indentation proclaimed the activity. and each and every lens had some sort of scummy film on it which despite my efforts with cloth brush liquid and cleaning pen wished not to disappear. how does a company become brazen enough to market such fodder? i know not.

Worth it
I use these to take picture of jewelry for an auction company and in a studio setting and they turn out wonderful. It is a little harder especially with 10 to shoot insects in nature as the DOF is so small you could focus on the grasshoppers body and the legs will be out of focus. Be sure to set a decent aperture. It takes a lot of time to get a good picture but it is possible. No trouble with the other magnifications. 1 2 4 I generally use the Canon 50mm f1.4 with this lens and it works well. perhaps a lens with a real zoom would work better. Cheap and worth it.

Everything I expected
This lens yields excellent exceptionally sharp results. I knew from reviews that the auto-focus would be a bit slower than on more expensive Canon lenses but thats really not a big problem for me. The constant f/2.8 aperture is a big plus particularly for interior shots I almost never use flash. In short the lens meets all my expectations.

Watch out for shoddy quality
I eagerly bought one of these lenses earlier this summer Nikon mount. It arrived in seemingly good condition and the first shots from it looked ok. However less than 24 hours later it became virtually unusable due to its inability to autofocus. Manual focusing produced fair-to-marginal results so I think something inside the lens shifted out of position. The lens was not mishandled in any way. I may try another one at some point but in the meantime I bought the Nikkor 12-24. Yes its nearly twice as expensive but it works.

Tokina 11-16mm f/2.8 ATX Pro DX
On returning from Italy and evaluating my images 1200 I find this lens to be a real keeper. Photozone.de was my deciding source to purchase this lens where their review and tests indicate this is the sharpest lens in its class. CAs as mentioned there were an issue in a couple of high contrast images and easily corrected in Photoshop. Field curvature is noticable especially in the St Peters interior image above and can be minimized with camera position and focal length settings. Unfortunately I did not have a tripod and a point and shoot technique ruled. The 16mm longest fl will take some getting used to and does not provide much range. I carried a Canon 28-135mm IS for the longer shots. The f/2.8 at all fl was nice for the darker interiors of buildings on my Canon 30D. Lens construction seems solid without any focusing issues. New to wide lenses flare caught me a couple of times Ill remember to watch for it more often I know its common with these wide lenses. I have posted two customer images above of a bath house in Pompeii and St Peters in Rome.
